Exporters Overview

Exporters are specialized, lightweight adapters that bridge the gap between third-party systems and Prometheus! ๐ŸŒ‰

Since not every application natively speaks the Prometheus metrics format, exporters act as translators. They fetch data from external systems, translate it on the fly, and serve it up on a standard /metrics endpoint for Prometheus to scrape.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Our Exporter Stackโ€‹

We have curated a powerful stack of exporters to give you deep visibility into our infrastructure, databases, and managed servicesโ€”all without you needing to write custom metric-gathering code! ๐Ÿš€

  • ๐ŸŒ Blackbox Exporter: Actively probes external and internal HTTP/HTTPS endpoints to monitor uptime, response times, and general availability.
  • ๐Ÿ˜ Postgres Exporter: Gathers deep performance, connection, and health metrics directly from our central PostgreSQL database.
  • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Cert Exporter: Constantly monitors TLS certificate expiration dates across the cluster to prevent unexpected outages.
  • โ˜ธ๏ธ Kube State Metrics (KSM): Listens to the Kubernetes API to generate high-fidelity metrics about the state of our deployments, pods, allocations, and nodes.
  • โšก Redis Exporter: Exposes memory, connection, and performance metrics for both central and application-specific Redis instances.
