By exposing certificate validity dates as native Prometheus metrics, it ensures we get proactive, early warnings long before any certificates expire. This completely eliminates a major source of unexpected service downtime. 🚀

🔍 Scanning and Discovery

The infrastructure team configures the Cert Exporter to relentlessly scan designated namespaces across our cluster.

While it monitors these areas continuously out-of-the-box, certain resources require a little extra help. Specifically, raw Kubernetes Secrets containing TLS certificates must be explicitly tagged to be recognized and parsed by the exporter's discovery engine. 🏷️
